Una vez mas la Asociación Argentina de Capitanes Pilotos y Patrones de Pesca quiere aclarar las manifestaciones que viene realizando con respecto al cuidado y preservación del recurso pesquero y la utilización de artes de pesca y la utilización de sistemas selectivos.
Cuando decimos que estos selectivos no sirven, decimos claramente que no son suficientes para la optimización del objetivo buscado tal lo recomendado por la FAO, los fundamentos en nuestra experiencia como trabajadores históricos de los buques pesqueros y las propias manifestaciones de los científicos quienes consideran el DEJUPA como el mas aceptable de los selectivos, pero a su vez reconocen las limitaciones de este.
Nosotros decimos "lo que se pesca se debe traer a puerto" y nunca dijimos que los selectivos no deban utilizarse. Públicamente hemos manifestado que no violaremos las resoluciones del Consejo Federal Pesquero y es esto lo que indicamos a cada trabajador por nosotros representado. Que simplemente se debe tener en cuenta el Código de Conducta para la Pesca Responsable perteneciente a la FAO y sus incisos 6.6, 6.11, 6.16, 7.1.9, 7.2.2 y 11.1.8 entre otros, referidos en su mayoría a la transparencia, participación y fundamentalmente de máxima reducción del desperdicio de las capturas de todas las especies capturadas.
Aclaramos también que no mantenemos diferencia alguna con los gremios hermanos y que por el contrario nuestra lucha silenciosa contra la impunidad generada por empresarios y funcionarios de turno la sumamos a la de los sindicatos marítimos que denunciaran en medio público de la ciudad de Mar del Plata, celebramos esta coincidencia para que definitivamente los trabajadores de la pesca dejemos de ser convidados de piedra a los festines que realizaron empresas y funcionarios políticos que llegaron a tener cautivo e incluso al Instituto Nacional de Investigación Pesquera, a los efectos de lograr sus objetivos codiciosos y egoísta en perjuicio del recurso pesquero y en consecuencia del recurso humano que representan todos los trabajadores de la industria pesquera.

TO ARGENTINIAN AND THE WORDWIDE COMMUNITY
Once again, the Asociación Argentina de Capitanes , Pilotos y Patrones de Pesca, wants to make clear all its´statements concerning the care of fishing resources and the implementation of fishing skills as well as sorting devices.
When this union states that these devices are not useful, it clearly states that they are not enough for an optimal achievement of the aim as recommended by the FAO, . This is supported not only by our experience as workers in fishing vessels, but also by scientists, who have claimed that even though DEJUPA is the most appropriate sorting device, it is not completely successful.
We claim that the whole capture should be brought to port, and we have never said that the sorting devices should not be used. We have clearly stated that we will not violate the resolutions passed by the Federal Fishing Council, and this is what we advice all our affiliates to do. All should respect the FAO’s behaviour’s code for a responsible fishing (Código de Conducta para la Pesca Responsable), more precisely the clauses 6.6, 6.11, 6.16, 7.1.9, 7.2.2 and 11.1.8, which refer to transparency, participation and optimal waste reduction of all the species captured.
We also state that we do not have disagreements with brother unions, on the contrary, we add our struggle against the impunity caused by businessmen and politicians, situation that was denounced publicly in the media by maritime unions. We all celebrate this coincidence, so that fishing workers stop be… These coerced even the National Institute of Fishing Investigation in pursuit of their selfish and covetous objectives, without taking into account the fishing resources, and consequently, the human resources that represent all workers of the fishing industry.
